Leslie Stern
Founder/Walker/Sitter/Boarder
Leslie Stern, founder of Leslie's Leashes, treats your animals like her own. She is the proud mother of two human children and the pet mother of twin cats, Tom and Jerry, Josie, a terrier/poodle rescue, Benny, a Cane Corso rescue and Stella, the hedgehog. When not running her business, Leslie volunteers as a dog handler at the town shelter. Leslie has always had animals in her life and shares her passion and love with every animal she meets.
Lisa Finkbeiner
Manager
Lisa has been living is Port Washington for 25 years. Prior to Port Washington, Lisa lived in Manhasset and earned her BA from Bucknell University. During the past ten years, she has been teaching at Day Nursery School in Manhasset. Lisa and her husband, Kurt, have two sons and a sweet terrier named Scupper. Their eldest son is a freshman in college and their younger son attends Schreiber High School. Together, they enjoy biking, sailing, kayaking and hiking with Scupper at the Sands Point Preserve.
Lisa Rynston-Lobel
Boarding Manager
Lisa is a married mom of two two-legged kids and one four-legged kid; a Labradoodle named Maizy. She's had pets throughout her life and knows how special they are. In an effort to help more dogs find the perfect family, she currently works with a doodle rescue group to foster doodles in need of a home. She loves working with dogs and can't wait to meet some of yours!
Jody Amsel
Walker/Sitter
Jody has lived in Port Washington for 13 years with her husband and two sons. She has opened her home to many rescue pets and currently lives with two terrier/poodle mixes and three cats. She also volunteers at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter where she helps the dogs find their forever homes by training them in basic obedience and manners. In addition to caring for her animals and family, Jody enjoys music, reading, knitting, travel and hiking.
